Here are a few beauty hacks that I like to use when I run out of my products. These are natural and non toxic ingredients that work wonders for natural beauty!
Many of these ingredients can be found in your kitchen and can be found at your local grocery store. These items are fairly inexpensive and go a long way!
Ingredient Staples:
- Brown Sugar
- Coconut Oil
- Egg
- Egg Whites
- Arrowroot Powder or Tapioca Starch
- Essential Oil of your choice
- Olive oil
- Water
- Lemon Juice

Body Scrub
Recipe: Brown Sugar + Coconut Oil
You will need a few tablespoons of each for a full body scrub. You can use this mix for a plumping and hydrating lip scrub too. Super hydrating and excellent to get that dead/dry skin off.
P.S. Coconut oil is a perfect moisturizer for your skin, hair and etc. Apply some coconut oil over your body like body lotion for hydration.
Dry Shampoo
Recipe: Arrowroot Powder + Baking Soda + Essential Oil
We’ve all been there, our hair gets greasy. You need a quick fix? Mix the arrow root powder baking soda, and just a few drops of your favourite essential oil and massage it through your roots.
Hair Mask
Recipe: Egg + Coconut Oil + Olive Oil
In a small mixing bowl; mix an egg, 1 tsp coconut oil and 1 tsp olive oil. This is super hydrating and will leave your hair rejuvenated. Tip: place a shower cap or bag over the hair to keep the mark to penetrate through the hair.

Quick Deodorant
Recipe: Baking Soda (AL-Free) + Water + Essential Oil
Mix 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda (preferably aluminum free) with 1/4 teaspoon of water and apply the mixture to your underarms. (You can also add a drop of your favourite essential oil to the mixture for added fragrance).
Clarifying Face Mask
Recipe: Lemon Juice + Baking Soda + Egg Whites
Super easy to whip up. This will help to minimize pores, smooth your skin and even out your skin tone. When beginning to use this mask, use a thin layer over the face and leave on for at least 10- 15 minutes.
